Worked on from January 2024 to May 2024
BECAfest is the annual celebration of the BECA department for students and faculty. It is an awards show where students can submit their projects in a handful of categories and potentially be nominated to win an award. The 2024 BECAfest was a semester long, capstone project for myself and several others in the BECA department.
I was delegated two major roles during the show: I was apart of the writer’s room and was one of the camera operators for the show. Both were incredibly awarding experiences to be a part of, and I am proud to finish off my college years with this show. My camerawork can be seen in the video above, but I would like to highlight my writing with the B-Roll skits, which I was primarily responsible for as apart of the writers team.
Together my colleague and I put together 5 transitionary comedic skits to introduce categories. We had little guidance nor budget throughout this process, but regardless we put in some great B-roll skits that entertained the audience during the show. Below are the B-roll skits that I wrote, alongside the A/V scripts made specifically for them.
